Biography

Christina Perri is an American singer-songwriter from Philadelphia who sings "Jar of Hearts" which was shown on the show So You Think You Can Dance.

Early Years
Perri grew up in Bensalem, Pennsylvania (a suburb of Philadelphia) with his older brother, Nick Perri, who previously played guitar with Shinedown, Silvertide, Perry Farrell and Darling Stilettos. Before their debut song in the show So You Think You Can Dance, Perri worked as a waitress at The Melrose Cafe in Los Angeles.

Carrera
Perri's song "Jar of Hearts" was released in So You Think You Can Dance in 2010. Following his exhibition at the show, "Jar of Hearts" sold 48.000 digital copies, debuting on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 17 and peaking at number 28 on Hot Digital Songs. Within a month, sold over 100,000 copies.

Soon after, Perri made his debut in the National Day and on television, featuring the song live on July 10, 2010 in the episode of The Early Show on CBS as well as the July 15, 2010 in the episode of So You Think You Can Dance. Perri signed a deal with Atlantic Records on July 21, 2010. Roadrunner Records will continue to promote "Jar of Hearts" on the radio. Perri also appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on July 29, 2010, where he played the single.
